We've recently signed an agreement with German publisher Novitas for worms World Party mid-price and budget PC CDROM. Details of release dates will be confirmed as soon as possible.
 
We've also signed up with a Canadian company to bring Worms World Party mid-price and budget PC CDROM. Details of which will be announced shortly.

We've recently signed an agreement with Take 2 France to publish Worms World Party and Worms Armageddon in France and French speaking parts of Switzerland on their budget label.
 
We've also signed up with CD Projeckt for distribution into Poland, Czech Republic & Slovakia to handle the mid-price and budget releases of Worms 2, Worms Armageddon and Worms World Party it will also include fully localised versions into Polish and Czech.

The latest news update for WWP!
PC CDR
As we mentioned a while back we have partnered with Focus multi media to bring WWP onto budget priced £9.99 in the UK and Ireland. We have just extended their territories to include Cyprus, Gibraltar, Greece, Luxembourg, Malta, Turkey, Australia, New Zealand, Philippines, Dubai, India, Israel, Kenya, Lebanon, Mauritius, Saudi Arabia, South Africa and United Arab Emirates.
 
The game is now released in both DVD and CD crystal case style packaging and is available from all good high street and on-line stores.
 
PSX
The US version, has now been released and is on sale for the absolute bargain price of $9.99 OPM in the US have rated the game 4/5.
The UK version which, was released just prior to Christmas last year, is currently No1 on the PSX budget charts in the UK and is available for £9.99.
 
GBA
Is due to go into submission with Nintendo any time soon, as soon as it's in submission we'll bring you more information on release dates and pricing.

The PlayStation version in Europe was released just prior to Christmas for £9.99 and shot straight to No.2 in the UK PSX Budget charts and is currently around No4.
 
The US version has passed submission with Sony US and Ubi Soft are currently in production. You should see the game on sale before the end of March.

Ubi Soft Entertainment and Team17 announced today a worldwide publishing agreement for the PSone and Game Boy Advance versions of the hugely popular Worms World Party.
Team 17 had previously bought back the rights to Worms World Party from embattled publisher EON as the latter begins to clear its portfolio. Ubi Soft fought off various top publishers to secure one of the industry's leading franchises, which now joins Team17's forthcoming puzzle game Worms Blast as part of the French publisher's enviable roster of titles.
 
The PSone version of Worms World Party will now be released under the Ubi Soft banner for just £9.99 in December, with the Game Boy Advance to follow in the first quarter of 2002. Likewise, the PC and PlayStation2 versions of Worms Blast will be released in Q1, 2002.
 
The Worms series has achieved global sales in excess of six million units and has regularly appeared in the European charts over the last 6 years. Sky Digital and Team17 announce major games deal.
In a world exclusive move, Sky Digital and Team17 have announced a deal which will see a specially-created Worms game launched exclusively on Sky's Gamestar games portal.
 
Following the continued success of the Worms franchise, the Wakefield-based developer will release an all-new Worms game for Sky's 'Pay per Play' service. The game retains the same blend of madcap humour and simple yet addictive gameplay that has seen the series sell over six million copies across a number of formats.
 
As ever, player's control a team of worms, as they enter a 'last man standing' stand off, but the Sky game offers 'new interactive tv' features as well as an ever-changing array of gameplay features, options and weapons.

Sorry to all of those who have taken a wasted trip to the shop today to pick up WWP. It's been held back again. The new release dates for Worms World Party | PC is very early April for both Europe and US.
 
Team17 has very little control over actual release dates once a master is handed over.
 
We will keep you fully informed of the latest release status and actual dates ASAP.

Updated details of the imminent release of WWP.
The new release dates for Worms World Party on PC is 30th March | Europe and very early April | US.
 
AS previously mentioned, the PC version of WWP is mastered - minus the Editor which will be available as a supplementary download via the community | downloads section of this website.
 
Team17 has very little control over actual release dates once a master is handed over. Publishers were originally waiting to simultaneously release PC and DC versions, but they have since decided otherwise.
 
The DC version is in submission with Sega Europe and US, although Europe looks like clearing very soon. The US and European versions must link properly both using the same code build and US on-line problems have hence delayed the overall release.
 
We will keep you fully informed of the latest submission and release status.

Details of the imminent release of WWP for PC and DC.
The PC version of WWP is mastered, following its successful final language checks and approvals. The Demo and Editor are outstanding from the PC release version but will be available as supplementary downloads.
 
The DC version is in submission with Sega Europe and US and we will keep you fully informed of the latest status.
 
Release dates at the moment are 15th March for Europe (pending the DC version clearing Sega) and April 6th for US.

Virgin / Titus to publish next 2 Team17 titles.
Virgin Interactive and Titus Software have pulled off a global coup, with the announcement that they have secured the world-wide publishing rights to Team17's hugely anticipated Worms World Party on Dreamcast and PC and Stunt GP on PlayStation 2 respectively.

Team17 joins the Dreamcast elite!

Worms World Party allows Internet play including real-time chat.
Team17's Worms World Party is set to become the first European developed third-party online game to allow Dreamcast owners to compete across the Internet.
 
The pioneering Wakefield developer has successfully integrated an online mode into the Dreamcast version of its eagerly anticipated arcade/strategy title. The online game will allow Dreamcast owners to pit their four-worm armies against those of three rival Worms fans from anywhere across the globe. To facilitate this, Team17 is also developing a dedicated web area, wherein fans can exchange tips and goals within a chat room environment and take part in battles within designated Beginner and Expert zones. Players are also invited to represent their home country in order to introduce a little friendly rivalry to each battle!
 
Worms World Party marks yet another huge step forward for the Worms franchise, sales for which now top over five million units across an array of home systems. Players control each of the four worms individually as they lead them into battles across a variety of missions and a number of dedicated Online locations.
